Great visit. Dogs are welcome in the park and in a carrier for visiting the castle. Thank you to the management. The self-service restaurant is very good with very reasonable prices.

Undoubtedly one of the most spectacular châteaux in the Loire Valley, the building itself, the quality of the collections, and its setting (gardens and forests) are all breathtaking. A little tip: it's best to book for the first few hours of opening to fully enjoy the tranquility of the château and gardens and avoid the influx of tourist buses that quickly make the place unbearable.

We could have spent the whole day there, there's so much to see! Between the castle's interior and the grounds, you should definitely allow more than two hours. The children loved the maze! There are plenty of places to eat on site, with snack options, a restaurant, and even a wine cellar. But bring a fan for inside the castle, as it gets very hot! A must-see if you're in the area!

Perhaps one of my favorite castles I've visited in the Loire! I highly recommend it; they accept pets.

My absolute favourite Loire chateaux (and there are so many to choose from). Love that you can bring little dogs inside the actual castle as well as the gardens. Tickets are for timed entry - we just showed up and only had to wait 15 minutes for the next slot but maybe on busy days it'd be better to buy in advance. Picnic space only outside the gardens, no food allowed in the Gates and they do bag checks.
