Few destinations are open on a Monday lunchtime in the middle of a snowstorm, so it was lucky to have almost the last table in this extremely friendly bistro! An atmosphere that reminds me of the small French restaurants of my childhood - the bonus in 2023 is obviously without cigarette smoke and with much more light, therefore more pleasant. Simple, generous and homemade daily menu, friendly service (so very busy with an entire room to serve!), everything was good, it will be a pleasure to come back at the next opportunity. Reservations recommended to avoid arriving too late and being refused due to lack of space.

How nice it is to feel at home, to be able to put your feet under the table while enjoying with the regulars an atmosphere whose warmth rivals that of good comforting dishes from a chef with a smile and the handshake, each one as frank as the other... And what can we say about the service, instantly giving life back to the dying that we all become as soon as we allow ourselves to be swallowed up by our worries!... Let myself be surprised by the daily menu? Gained by the confidence the place inspires in me, I give in to this impulse which is hardly familiar to me. Lamb ? It's not what I usually prefer; but here it is: the necklace is to die for. “And this delicious little white puree, what is it? — Parsnips. » Oh. It is common knowledge that I hate this root vegetable, which I often find tasteless at best and bitter at worst. New counterpoint. “Pear cake to finish? It’s certainly delicious… But are you sure you don’t have some chocolate fondant left? » Well yes, we went out of our way to find me two more beautiful portions, generously accompanied by a perfectly creamy vanilla custard. All sprinkled with a lively conversation about the best way to respect the magic of Christmas and make people love it... Quite a program! And as for the wallet: starter, main course, dessert, washed down with 2.5 dl of wine and a coffee for 17 euros. In the Pays de Gex, yes, ladies and gentlemen! Frankly, but what are the people asking?... From today, it’s decided: when the gloom sets in, I’ll go to Arno’s to eat!

I recently dined at this restaurant that offered simple yet incredibly delicious cuisine. The restaurant’s ambiance was reminiscent of a charming village eatery, exuding a warm and cozy atmosphere. Our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional as we savored a variety of dishes, each prepared with fresh and exquisite ingredients, tailored to our preferences. The portion sizes were just right, satisfying our appetites without overwhelming us. The heartfelt service we received from the staff contributed to an overall sense of comfort and assurance, making our meal even more enjoyable. It felt like a promise fulfilled by both the cuisine and the attentive service, truly warming our hearts and the moment. In my humble opinion, I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment. I must admit, I regret not trying it sooner, as it took me six long years from the moment I first laid eyes on it to finally indulge in its culinary delights. The average cost for a full course per person is approximately 35 euros, and I can assure you, every minute spent here is well worth it. Needless to say, we left our plates impeccably clean, a testament to the delectable experience we had.
