The meat is of very good quality and well-prepared, as are the fish and sauce. It's a shame the fries aren't up to par—very brown, soggy, and greasy inside (the potatoes aren't suitable, in my opinion). And the mashed potatoes are often acidic at the end. Having organized my wife's birthday celebration this weekend at Ernest in Montauban, I want to sincerely thank the entire team for this exceptional experience. This restaurant is simply incredible: the subtlety of the flavors, the quality of the ingredients, the generous portions… everything was perfectly executed. The attentive and professional service was impeccable from beginning to end. Congratulations to the whole team for your warm welcome and your attentiveness to our 23 guests; each one was pampered with great care and elegance. 18/02/2026: Excellent cuisine, beautifully presented dishes, and impeccable service. Smiles and friendliness are always present. All this at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend this restaurant located under the arcades of the lovely Place Nationale in Montauban.
23/01/2026: Exquisite cuisine, bursting with flavors and aromas from appetizer to dessert. The vaulted dining room is a bit noisy, but it remains our favorite restaurant in Montauban. And the prices are very reasonable.

27/02/2026: I've been going to this restaurant for over 25 years. Le Sampa is a must-visit in Montauban, both for the quality of its food and the warm welcome from its staff. A cozy atmosphere in winter and a superb terrace in summer, right in the heart of the city. The dishes are excellent and flavorful. A real treat. The owners always greet you with a smile and are attentive to their customers' well-being. A winning combination for a restaurant that has stood the test of time thanks to the impeccable quality of its service. Excellent value for money too. I love it and highly recommend it! A must-try for those who haven't yet discovered it…
