We spent three nights at this hotel, joining the Maskarades, and it was a perfect experience. The room was very clean and comfortable. The treatment of the staff and waiters was excellent, very friendly and attentive at all times. We really liked the menu we tried for breakfast and dinner, everything was of high quality and very delicious. Highly recommended.

A clean and high-quality hotel, the staff are respectful, kind, and truly very friendly.
The restaurant is absolutely excellent: it showcases the flavors of the Basque Country in innovative recipes of haute cuisine—it was simply delicious!
And the setting is idyllic if you're looking for peace and tranquility amidst the magnificent green mountains of the Basque Country. Simply perfect!

My wife and I spent two days at this very peaceful hotel-restaurant, just a stone's throw from Iraty. It was a real delight, from the authentic charm of the place (wooden beams, a beautiful dining room with a large fireplace and a bay window offering stunning views) to the exquisitely prepared, flavorful, and original meals. The room with its view of the valley was a true pleasure, calm and rejuvenating. The Etchemaite team is also excellent, always available and ready to assist guests with everything from dining to local excursions and activities. A wonderful experience; we will definitely be back.

A wonderful surprise, everything is perfect and incredibly cozy. A mountain atmosphere where everything is thoughtfully presented.
Dinner (à la carte menu) was delicious and surprising from start to finish, all made with local products. Bravo! I highly recommend it for a complete change of scenery.

We stayed at the hotel and ate at the restaurant. It's an amazing place to unwind. I would have liked a coffee maker in the room, but that would have been a bonus.
Also, keep in mind that Larrau is a small village, without supermarkets or shops; this is good to know in order to prepare before your trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend there.
The restaurant is a gem, a treat for the palate. The wines they have are excellent; and the staff was friendly and welcoming at all times.

We had visited about ten years ago. This second stay delighted us. A warm welcome without being intrusive, impeccable bedding, peace and quiet, and a restaurant that lived up to its reputation. Everything was there for a wonderful, relaxing weekend. We will be back!

A perfect stay in Larrau!
We had an absolutely wonderful weekend at the Hotel Etchemaïté. Everything was perfect for a truly relaxing getaway:
- Warm welcome and friendly staff
- Friendly atmosphere in the bar and restaurant, with the fireplace adding a cozy touch
- Refined cuisine, high-quality dishes
- Very comfortable room, ideal for a peaceful retreat
- Peaceful lounge, perfect for relaxing in silence
We enjoyed our stay so much that we've already booked again for December. A place to recommend without hesitation!

Our children gave us a gift certificate for an evening and a night at Etchemaite, and we were delighted with our stay: a perfect and very tasty dinner with wonderfully friendly staff, excellent bedding in a super quiet room with a mountain view, and an excellent breakfast. Pure bliss! Thank you
