A charming, northern French atmosphere in the heart of Mons-en-Pévèle. The chicken casserole with Maroilles cheese was excellent; we thoroughly enjoyed it. The waiter was very pleasant and helpful. However, the woman who worked at the reception/cook was less than welcoming. No greeting, and her approach to taking payment was reminiscent of a "give me your money and get out" attitude.
A menu that isn't limited to regional dishes and caters to vegetarians. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The owners are very friendly, and the decor perfectly captures the atmosphere of a traditional pub, a high-quality retro country style. The menu is fun and informative, introducing you to the Ch'ti dialect and the alchemical recipe for beer, enough to spark conversation and whet your appetite. And, as I mentioned, the food is delicious. A very good pub that I recommend without reservation.
First time visiting this lovely little restaurant, and it was a delightful evening with delicious food and impeccable service. We'll be back very soon! Well done to the whole team, it was perfect, keep up the good work! 😉👍
