A great discovery!! We discovered the cuisine of Burkina Faso with delight. Cuisine full of flavors and warm, smiling service. Thank you for everything.

Flattering opinions are not always an exact science, the proof... So maybe it wasn't a good day. Or that we were only passing through the region and not local residents... The fact remains that when we arrived at 12:15 p.m., we were not entitled to the beautiful terrace even though the manager found a table outside 5 minutes later for other customers who came without reservation like us. So we had lunch alone inside... New disappointment: no cards or prices are displayed. You have to wait for a large hand-written slate that circulates from table to table to discover the dishes offered (à la carte only). The same goes for drinks. You have to ask to obtain a "card" always handwritten and limited to wines, with the unpleasant feeling of disturbing while it is perfectly illegal, that you are a "small structure" sic (a good twenty place settings that lunchtime anyway) or not. And when paying the bill, another unpleasant surprise (we obviously misread the prices, but impossible to check them since the slate is turned over): 63 euros for a starter, 2 main courses, a dessert and 2 glasses of wine, it's just abused. Even if the cuisine with African influences is indeed original and tasty and the cook is very nice...

What a surprise it was to find this wonderful restaurant in an unexpected place. It was the only open restaurant around so we did not have much of a choice and we really lucked out. The patio out back has great vibes and the hospitality was excellent. The food was unbelievable. I’ve been all over France for a month, eating at a lot of great restaurants, but I think the attieke at Bistro Pharell is the best dish I had during the entire trip. What a charming place with amazing food! If it hadn’t been closed the next day, we would have come back again. It was that good.

Great food, a little bit different to your classic French south west cuisine with some exciting flavours. The trout and prawn starter was one of the best dishes I have eaten for years. Even compared to more expensive places. Excellent service and atmosphere. Would definitely go back, keep up the good work.
