Second visit to this place for a 2-night stay including dinner. The establishment has been renovated in keeping with its 19th-century style, but with good, functional comfort in the rooms with their 3.5-meter ceilings. The bathroom is well-appointed with a spacious walk-in shower. Choose the rooms with a superb view of the river and bridge, as the view towards the village at the rear is rather dreary. The price difference is justified. A complete and balanced breakfast is served at the table. For the restaurant, the chef-owner demonstrates excellent cooking skills and a selection of good local produce. The wine list is decent in terms of choice, quality, and price. The service is professional yet relaxed. There are two large dining rooms (opt for the one with the large fireplace), in addition to the bar and two private rooms. And in the warmer months, the shaded terrace overlooking the Loue River is pure bliss. A beautiful place to recharge your batteries, feeling a little out of time in a preserved space with attentive staff.

I've walked past this place several times, telling myself each time that I'd have to try it one day. Today, fate forced me to stop in, as I was experiencing hypoglycemia after an overly ambitious bike ride. Despite closing time, the staff were very understanding and welcomed me warmly while I recovered. Next time, I promise, it will be for a proper meal. Looking forward to it!

On Sunday, we discovered a restaurant that completely charmed us. The setting is pleasant, and the staff is attentive and welcoming. Each dish offers rare quality and generosity, reminiscent of authentic flavors of yesteryear. Don't miss this place. Sylvie and Olivier

We came to eat frogs, a real treat!

It's always a pleasure to visit Gervais! The food is simply excellent and the service impeccable. We come regularly and are never disappointed.

The meal was absolutely delicious. We had frogs' legs and foie gras as a starter, followed by praline cream puffs. The interior reminded me of the small village restaurants I used to go to with my parents. The waiters were very friendly and attentive. 👌

We ate frogs' legs this Thursday, March 12th, 2026, for a price that was supposed to be gourmet. But what a gourmet price! I found the service slow and the frogs' legs quite ordinary, without even a trivet to keep them warm. And to my surprise, when I checked the bill, they charged us for three aperitifs, even though there were only two of us. 😂 Good luck to them. The moral of the story is, don't trust anyone. I thought it was a well-regarded place. Aside from the very pleasant location, it's not worth going there.

A lovely waterfront restaurant where you feel right at home, with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Excellent food, full of flavor, made with top-quality ingredients. A real treat... The staff is welcoming and attentive. A wonderful moment of relaxation, pure bliss...

Rather secluded, on the banks of the Loue River. Access via and through forests currently awash with autumnal colors on quiet roads. Excellent cuisine with a small menu (focusing on fish dishes), but also something for the carnoûre. Very friendly service. Restaurant open Thursday to Sunday.
