I loved my ham and cheese pizza, it was very, very good, and the apple tart too. Thank you to the kind gentleman who bakes the pizzas with such a thin crust (Sacha - 7 years old)

As a former tourist who has since become a resident of Aix-en-Provence, I frequented this establishment from my very first visits as a tourist, and again after settling in the city. This allows me to confidently say, with a degree of perspective, that this restaurant is anything but a tourist trap. An establishment celebrating 50 years in business has nothing left to prove: the consistency and loyalty of its clientele speak for themselves. True tourist traps, on the other hand, never last. When you've taken the time to travel, both in France and abroad, you learn to distinguish authentic places from purely opportunistic establishments. This distinction, it seems, isn't obvious to everyone. Before judging, one must have solid points of comparison. Here, they have existed for half a century.

A restaurant my sweetheart and I adore, and where we've been coming for years. The food is always top-notch and the atmosphere is super pleasant. The owner is very kind and welcoming; we really feel at home there. A sure bet, we always come back with pleasure!

We were told this restaurant was "the best pizzeria/restaurant in Aix-en-Provence" (which is false). The pizzas were good, but the waiter was very unpleasant. A man in his thirties. Not a smile on his face, not pleasant at all. We only ordered pizzas—six pizzas for six people (since it's a pizzeria/restaurant)—and he made a comment about not ordering a "real meal" in an annoyed tone. He seemed irritated for almost the entire meal. We all felt very awkward ordering only pizzas instead of meals. The service was redeemed by a very kind waitress who created a much better atmosphere, but we were quite disappointed. I'm sure I won't be going back.
