We were told this restaurant was "the best pizzeria/restaurant in Aix-en-Provence" (which is false). The pizzas were good, but the waiter was very unpleasant. A man in his thirties. Not a smile on his face, not pleasant at all. We only ordered pizzas—six pizzas for six people (since it's a pizzeria/restaurant)—and he made a comment about not ordering a "real meal" in an annoyed tone. He seemed irritated for almost the entire meal. We all felt very awkward ordering only pizzas instead of meals. The service was redeemed by a very kind waitress who created a much better atmosphere, but we were quite disappointed. I'm sure I won't be going back.

The meal was really good...the server was really unpleasant. We asked him a few questions about the menu and the crowd...is it because we're from Quebec or something else? He's really not very pleasant. I held back from telling him to go away.

Fantastic wood fired pizza! Cheese, ham, and mushrooms were fresh and tasty. The chili pepper oil was a great condiment to the pizza. Being American we generously poured it on while the nearby French patrons looked on with surprise and giggles of laughter.

A big thank you to Chez Jo for this delicious moment! The duck breast dish of the day was absolutely perfect, masterfully cooked and flavors were there. Warm service and pleasant setting. We will be back with pleasure! The server Cyril was top notch 🙏

Even though it was already 9:30 p.m., we received a warm welcome and were able to order something to eat. The filet à boeuf, the lasagna, and the carne were delicious and tender. Perfect! The service was very friendly and attentive! We felt truly at home and went home happy and full.

28/08/2024: Top team, always smiling, welcoming and who manage the best restaurant in the area. The menu is great and it's very well cooked and what can we say about the desserts....
16/07/2024: This is an example that many restaurateurs should follow! Excellent dishes, which change often, value for money that for the moment I have not found anywhere else. Despite the crazy crowd (I understand why) pleasant and very responsive server. A nugget!!!

13/09/2024: Good food in a lovely atmosphere Café gourmand was very generous
12/09/2024: Tested a few days ago with a friend. The place is well positioned in the center of Aix on a nice little square. I regret the fact that the tables are so close together.... The cuisine is a bit "catch-all"... but overall the portions are ok, it's good, well presented... but, Aix obliges, a little too expensive for what it is. Nonetheless, I had a great time.
