We received a truly warm welcome at "Chez Julien." In winter, the fireplace crackles, and in summer, the enclosed gardens of the abbey are a delight, matched only by the dishes his team offers: a marriage of tradition and modernity. Excellent value for money, which allows us to enjoy it regularly. We love it!

We had a wonderful time at Julien's restaurant! All the dishes were delicious. I highly recommend ordering the set menu, as it's very complete and leaves you feeling full and happy. Julien is also very friendly, which makes the experience even better.

A real gem of Dordogne cuisine! Beautifully set, with a warm and friendly welcome! Excellent food from start to finish! Great value for money! Very good service! Parking opposite (behind the church). Wheelchair accessible! Important note: it's best to make a reservation! I highly recommend this place for a pleasant and convivial experience! Kudos to Julien and his team for all their hard work and delicious food!

Sorry Julien, but it's hard to give less than 5 stars 🌟. The food was perfectly generous and exactly what I was looking for. The owner was very attentive and even agreed to prepare a pan of porcini mushrooms for me, which wasn't on the menu. The homemade foie gras, breaded scallops, and beef Wellington were cooked to perfection. The crème brûlée was made with Grand Marnier—and I mean Grand Marnier!—and the wine 🍷 perfectly complemented everything. Plus, we visited the abbey church to aid digestion. A top-notch address surrounded by nature—pure bliss! Thank you.

Wonderful little restaurant which has been run by the same family for 23 years. A bit off the beaten track but well worth it. It's situated in the Abbey grounds, tranquil setting. We sat outside, it was 23°. It took us just under an hour to get there. I don't think we passed one car. Over the last few years we've made it our mission to find ordinary restaurants, not potentious but serving wonderful French food, great local wines in great locations. It was lunchtime and the fixed price menu was €34 for three courses. It was fixed price but there was a choice of dishes. Sometimes a fixed price menu is not only fixed price but a fixed menu. Would we come again? Absolutely. And it's open all year round.

The most perfect Restaurant in France, Julien is fantastic, location beautiful and the best food anywhere.
