Chez Laurette sur Aix-En-Provence

It was certainly tasty. And friendly staff.

I don't understand why people speak so badly of it. When we went, they treated us very well, and the food was very good. I recommend the duck breast and the steak tartare, which is different from what we're used to in Spain, but it's very good. Excellent value for money. I'm not giving it 5 stars because perfection doesn't exist. I think it's the kind of restaurant that, in the peak summer season, has some issues because they must be overwhelmed, but we went the first week of September and everything was great.

A quick stop in Aix-en-Provence before heading home from vacation... a menu board caught our eye when suddenly an opportunistic waiter, who had been pacing back and forth, called out to us in front of the restaurant, suggesting we sit down! Caught off guard but intrigued by the menu, we gave it a try and sat down! He remained nonchalant and not at all friendly until we left! What a shame! At our table... we were taken care of by two warm, friendly, and very pleasant waiters who were incredibly attentive! We chatted with the table next to us throughout the meal! The food was delicious... flavorful, a real treat (Pig's trotters Marseillaise with gnocchi)! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming! It was a great way to end our meal, and we have absolutely no regrets about having lunch at this excellent restaurant! I highly recommend it!

Excellent food, great hospitality, and excellent service. Located in the upper part of the square, where there's a pleasant breeze, which is a real plus in summer.

The reviews weren't great… Which just goes to show, you should never rely solely on reviews and it's always best to see for yourself. And what a pleasant surprise! The welcome and service were top-notch, the tagine was excellent, and it continued right through to dessert: everything was truly delicious. It just goes to show, sometimes reviews are wrong… and it's a good thing we form our own opinions! I highly recommend Chez Laurette in Aix-en-Provence. A wonderful discovery!

Excellent service! However, the food served left much to be desired: frozen fries, slightly cold mussels, and meat ordered rare but arrived medium-rare. A shame.

I don't understand the negative reviews. The staff is attentive and lovely. The food—fish, gnocchi, and salad—was very good. The setting, even in the middle of August, was very pleasant.

We had a very good meal: a chicken tagine and a Provençal stew, we highly recommend it!

I thought it was the usual tourist trap, but we ate excellent lamb (the dish of the day) and a good tagine (it should be served in the appropriate container, though!!!). Good service. At the end (after paying the bill), they served us a limoncello (a bit slow). Worth a try.

We ate at this restaurant two nights...both times the food was really good and well-prepared. The waiters were friendly and always available. The atmosphere was lovely. Excellent price.
