It's perhaps not a 5-star restaurant; the tables are very close together and there's maybe a bit too much background noise, but I guess that's just the vibe of that kind of place. The food, however, was very good and the waiters were friendly.

Exceptional. What an incredible setting! I wasn't bored at all, even though I ate alone. So much to see, so many subtle touches in the decor. And the meal was fantastic. Bravo!

I was in Nantes for three days, and Chez Maman was my go-to spot for dinner. The chicken in cider or the beef bourguignon were excellent; top it off with the caramel profiteroles, and it was perfect. I've rarely been so happy to leave a tip in a restaurant.

I booked from Spain a few days in advance. (Reservations are a must!). The restaurant is also like a museum. Don't miss the service! The food, in general, was excellent. The beef skewer was perhaps the least impressive. The steak tartare was cooked to perfection. The fish and chips was exquisite. The cheese toast with radish and carrot salad was a great choice. The fish tartare with crispy bread was very good. The foie gras with toast was a revelation. And the melted cheese with a delicious salad was very good. Well, all of this was to share among 8 people. 100% recommended!
