Chez Mamine sur Saint-Remy-De-Provence

On this beautiful early October afternoon, we were drawn to this lovely, large terrace opposite the St-Remy town hall. It was quite large and busy, so the service was slow and not very friendly. However, the price was very reasonable for a fish dish and a salad.

Well, here it is... One of the places we'll remember. During our trip to the Luberon and the Alpilles, we visited several establishments, some more or less good, some more or less well-rated, some even overrated. Here, a local festival was ending, and it seemed difficult to find a place to eat for lunch. The biggest challenge to overcome was parking... Once that was sorted, we took a short stroll through the streets of this charming town. In a square typical of Provençal towns and villages, and in front of the Town Hall, a beautiful, crowded terrace. Perhaps a sign of quality??? There are three of them serving, and I can say that they're not sleeping... Very efficient... We were found a table with almost no wait. This was also the case for everyone who arrived after us... The menu or the daily special... We opted for the special, and I must admit we didn't regret it. Above all, the service is far superior to what you'd expect at tourist sites. I'll reluctantly stop rambling here; I might be saying too many good things about this place. Try it and you'll see!

Honestly, the idea of ​​using a credit card for a minimum of 20 euros is a real treat! In St Remy, most shops are already 10 euros, but 20 is making fun of people. At some point, you have to move with the times, or you have to want to only take cash for a good reason... When I think that some merchants in the market don't even have a minimum for the card. And they're going to talk to us about commission, blah blah blah... It's not even a valid reason! Well, in any case, we know what to expect!
