Good food, but a bit too much for our liking. Very pleasant service, mother and children + baby chow chow. We visited your lovely village. No regrets, we'll be back!

We've been there several times. The food is excellent, and the service is great. The food is homemade 👍 The place is very nice. Well done, don't change a thing.

Greetings, fellow food lover! If you're looking for a friendly restaurant in a lovely setting, where you'll receive a warm welcome, with hearty, traditional cuisine, and open on Sundays, then don't hesitate! Head straight to "Chez Marguerite" and treat yourself to the andouillette sausage with new potatoes while enjoying this magical atmosphere. You'll get a taste of earthly bliss. I loved it.

A very nice place with a magnificent view. The only slight drawback is that the terrace for drinks isn't big enough. But we arrived a little before lunchtime service, so perhaps that's why we couldn't get a seat on the front terrace.

La Petite Auberge d'Oingt

03/07/2026: The choice of fish proved very judicious, both the marinated trout and the sea bream; the cooking and accompaniments were perfect. Excellent desserts!
29/04/2026: An excellent experience at La Petite Auberge d’Oingt! The food was absolutely delicious, with high-quality dishes bursting with flavor. But what impressed us most was the attentiveness and kindness of the staff. My grandmother is lactose intolerant, and they took the time to adapt the dishes so she could enjoy her meal too, with great care and consideration. This truly made a difference for our family. A huge thank you for the warm welcome and impeccable service. We will definitely be back!

La Table du Donjon

04/07/2026: Discovered this wonderful restaurant during an escape into the rolling, sun-drenched hills of the Beaujolais region. Specifically, to a medieval village constructed entirely out of warm, golden limestone called Oingt. Go on, try saying it out loud. It’s pronounced Wahn—like a slightly aristocratic duck clearing its throat. Getting there requires a drive that feels less like a commute and more like a cinematic montage. The route winds through endless sea-like expanses of vineyards, climbing lazily up into the hills until you reach the village gates. It is a lovely, therapeutic journey that rewards you the moment you park the car and step into the medieval stone streets. Tucked right into this historic heart is La Table du Donjon. The view from the outdoor section is completely, unapologetically breathtaking. You are treated to a sweeping, 180-degree panoramic vista across the vibrant green valleys, red-roofed hamlets, and rolling hills of the Beaujolais. The food is truly special, refusing to come in second to the scenery. The must mention dishes has the flawlessly executed Foie Gras on top. It arrived rich, buttery, and incredibly smooth. It was a beautiful, decadent start. For the main event: the Lamb Chops. They were magnificent. Beautifully seared with a gorgeous, savory crust, yet perfectly pink, tender, and juicy on the inside. The hospitality ties the whole experience together beautifully. The service is genuinely warm, professional, and entirely hospitable without a hint of pretension. Put this golden village on your radar. It is an exceptional, sincere slice of French country dining that feeds both the eyes and the soul.
03/07/2026: We knew the setting, the panorama, and the magnificent view of this superb village, but not the restaurant. So, to hell with the journey (1.5 hours round trip), I booked for 7:30 pm. Dinner for two couples on a perfect late afternoon, weather-wise. Barely a dozen customers when we arrived, maybe twenty at the end of the evening. We were satisfied with the food but disappointed by the pace set by the staff (management, the kitchen, or the waitstaff who were too attentive for us, I don't know), probably used to the fast pace of lunchtimes and weekends. I did ask them to slow down after the main course, in anticipation of dessert (let us enjoy the moment), but our request was ignored. Too many interruptions, too fast, what a shame.
