Chez Max sur Auxerre

A very pleasant restaurant with cuisine that breaks the mold. I loved my mini hamburger with Époisses sauce. Mini in terms of the bun, but not in terms of its filling!

I highly recommend it! We arrived early because we hadn't booked, as we were just passing through, and luckily we got a table on the terrace overlooking the Yonne River. The manager is very pleasant. Excellent value for money and very good quality homemade food! We truly enjoyed everything from the appetizer to the dessert! Don't hesitate to try it, and if we have the chance, we'll be back 😀.

Fantastic find!!! 🤩 We were two couples, a baby, and two large dogs (not easy to fit on the terrace, right by the Yonne River, but we managed...). Excellent welcome and very accommodating staff. As for the food, I highly recommend it! We thoroughly enjoyed it! Delicious, high-quality ingredients... A menu perfectly suited to the warm weather... Thank you for this wonderful family meal.

There are restaurants where you pay the bill with a big smile. Chez Max is one of those wonderful surprises. The service is simple and friendly, and the food is of a quality that our taste buds often lack! The Iconic burger has become my go-to; it's both refined and hearty. Bravo, bravo, bravo!

Restaurant with a view of the Yonne River. Very well located. The beef with Époisses cheese is simply divine. Don't hesitate to have dinner there followed by a romantic stroll... A must-try!
