A restaurant like at home, a really good team and you can't go to Estaing without coming to eat in this friendly restaurant. I recommend the dishes, the service, the decor... We didn't want to leave The dishes are delicious and very generous! From aperitif to dessert. Well done 👏 keep it up. France, queen of gastronomy, you represent our regions. Just for that. THANKS. Hikers, visitors, gourmets, curious people... Just 2 words: come in large numbers!

Changes in ownership recently, but the food is still good. The service is serious, a simple but effective slate and there is no mistaking either the quality or the quantity. A good time around a good little table.

A very typical restaurant with a family feel. The dishes are very generous and above all delicious! You can discover regional flavors there for a very attractive price! Homemade fries are a treat for the taste buds and I weigh my words! A huge thank you to the team for welcoming us and serving us like kings! Looking forward to coming back to enjoy

Atypical restaurant, superb decor, great owners, with a lot of humor, kindness and empathy. The cuisine is a real treat. We came twice during our stay and each evening was a real pleasure (especially for the birthday of one of us!). Small suggestion: perhaps you could equip yourself with a foldable ramp so that more people in wheelchairs can come (words from a handicapped person who found it blah but who finished his plate!!😉) Don't change anything and THANK YOU

I was a big fan of the old version. Simpler, with less presentation fuss but with more generous dishes. We noticed a discrepancy between the dishes advertised and what is served. (Quantity, dessert which does not really correspond to the description given). In our case we were sold a kind of clafoutis rich in apricots. It’s a yogurt cake style cake with two small apricots that arrived. The setting, on the other hand, is still just as pleasant and the family atmosphere is appreciable.

Bonne cuisine locale. Le patron parle beaucoup (trop?), devrait se concentrer d'abord sur le service. Ambiance sympa et décor original.

Nous avons choisi ce restaurant sur le chemin de Compostelle et c’est une très belle découverte! L’accueil est très chaleureux, les plats sont bons et les dessert aussi! Merci pour tout, je recommande vivement.

Cafe Brasserie du Chateau

25/05/2024: Réservation sans souci. Un accueil très sympathique et souriant. Nous étions 4 et nous avons apprécié à l'unanimité le service (avec le sourire généreux de notre serveuse), 2 menus et 2 cartes après un apéro où les Spritz étaient très rafraichissants et bons même si nous les avons trouvés "légers" (en alcool). Les farçous en entrée sont une variante maison au goût succulent (on l'aurait souhaité plus copieux comme ceux achetés en boucherie). La viande d'Aubrac est excellente, la saucisse-aligot très bonne. Le tout avec un vin d'Estaing très apprécié. Les desserts sont très bons (café gourmand, crème brûlée...) Bref une halte parfaite pour un dîner entre ami(e)s et un accueil vraiment sympa.
18/04/2024: After a wander round this very attractive village we settled on this little restaurant for lunch and we were not disappointed. The menu is varied (grilled trout particularly good) and the service is friendly. Places like these are such a great antidote to fast food and long may they continue. We certainly hope to return to this one.

06/09/2024: Repas sur la magnifique terrasse noyée de verdure, surplombant la piscine, qui abrite bien de la fraîcheur des soirées de septembre. L endroit est aussi intime que les plats sont bons, bien préparés (cuisson du magret parfaite). Et l accueil est lui aussi bien sûr aussi sympathique que doux rendant ce moment fort agréable... comme à chaque fois !
