Very average Angus beef, ordinary taste, not very tender for this type of meat. Cooking does not match demand. Not very warm welcome.

An incredible meal and full of memories with our Gaston Latache who was unlucky throughout the meal! A real piece of theater with a hearty and above all quality meal, quality service too and adorable staff, I highly recommend! This meal filled with adventures will remain engraved in our memories.

Tomme fondue at the top, served very generously so I recommend being very hungry for this dish! Very friendly team, we will come back!

En ce mois de juillet 2024 à l entrée du village un petit restaurant devant la boulangerie… Nous venons depuis des années et jamais eu le temps… Nous découvrons un petit écrin très agréable avec une salle magnifique et une belle terrasse extérieure. Repas sur une « reblochonnade » et des ribs cuisson basse température. Le Ribs excellent fondant à souhait et se détachant seul de son os… Le reblochon une bonne découverte d une nouvelle manière de manger une raclette… le système est ingénieux et très sympathique. Pour finir une bonne crème brûlée et un excellent pain perdue Restaurateur très accueillant.

12/09/2024: Great lunch at the Chalet du Col de la Croix de Fer! The welcome is warm and the atmosphere friendly. The dishes are delicious, made with quality products. The view is breathtaking, a real moment of relaxation after a hike. I highly recommend!
03/09/2024: Mountain restaurant where you have to stop. Lunch this afternoon after a hike. Warm welcome and friendly service. Decent food with a 5/5 for the blueberry pie. Prices certainly quite high but which is justified in view of the summer season limited to 4 months.

24/08/2024: Following a stay with a perfect welcome, a quiet room, a great warm and friendly atmosphere, well-served meals… To be consumed without moderation!!.. Thanks to the entire Gros Caillou team..Steph 7 months after 2nd visit, during the summer period... nothing has changed, atmosphere just as warm and friendly. The welcome and the service just as perfect, both for accommodation and for meals... Authenticity and efficiency, an address to be favored in this small village in Savoie.. THANKS.
