I highly recommend this family-run restaurant. We were a group of 15. A very warm welcome and a relaxed atmosphere. The set menu was huge, delicious, and featured local ingredients. Very reasonable prices. Thank you to Nicole and Co. for a wonderful evening. We'll definitely be back on our next trip to the Lot region.

Last night, March 20th, I immersed myself in an incredible Saint Patrick's Day party in Masclat, France, at the cozy Chez Nicole; even though the saint's official day, March 17th, had already passed, along with my birthday. As a tourist passionate about cultures, I felt the celebration naturally extended, transforming that Friday into a perfect extension of the Irish spirit, with everyone living as if it were the big green day. I arrived at the bar and the atmosphere was already pulsating with the themed decoration: blue and green lights hanging, posters of shamrocks and Saint Patrick on the walls, creating a casual and authentic Irish pub vibe in the heart of Quercy. People arrived little by little, filling the space with laughter and toasts, a relaxed mix of locals and visitors that highlighted the diversity of this welcoming French community. The highlight was dinner: soup as a starter: Irish Stew Soup, a hearty main course with various meats: beef, pork, and lamb in a rich stew with potatoes and vegetables, a light dessert, and the indispensable French cheese and salad to balance it out. I ate more than I should have, but the warm, homemade seasoning was irresistible, ideal for a winter evening in Occitanie. At the bar, the bartender stole the show with his full Saint Patrick's Day attire, gnome hat, themed skirt, and the whole Irish look, serving beers and snacks with a contagious smile. That global vibe of peace and unity, with Celtic music in the background, with the New Sky and CO Band, made me feel at home, celebrating not only my belated birthday, but the magic of discovering living Irish traditions in France.
