Chongqing sur Toulouse

A very chill, authentic, and delicious little neighborhood restaurant. I've been about ten times now, and it's become my go-to spot on Fridays. They have a small selection of dishes, which I appreciate, and I've never ordered anything I didn't love. Special mention to the sesame dessert.

The food tastes like authentic Chinese food. I couldn't find the habitual Chongqing staple food I was looking for, such as fried chicken bits and biscuits in a bed of red pepper, but at least I got to try a new dish. It was a shame I wasn't told the dish did not contain any rice/noodles/bread, because the meal felt underwhelming with just meat and vegetables, and if I were told the rice had to be bought separately, I would have had the chance to buy it.

Lunch with a family of six. A great find. The food is plentiful and tasty.

The service provided by Mei, who was very friendly, made the experience even more enjoyable. The decor, with its traditional red lanterns, immediately sets the mood. A must-try, rated 4.7, that more than lives up to its reputation.
