I spent a wonderful evening at Colchide on rue des Martyrs. We celebrated two birthdays there and I can say that it was probably one of the best evenings I spent at a restaurant recently. The atmosphere is great and everything here makes you feel like you are in Georgia. The waiters are adorable, welcoming, attentive and efficient, and give you very good advice if you don't know Georgian gastronomy. The wine list is unique (if you’ve never tasted amber wines, go for it!). We had an assortment of starters (including the famous khachapouri acharouli, a must-have cheese and egg bread, as well as eggplant, spinach and beetroot caviars), and two simmered dishes, all more flavorful and subtle. each other. We had a fantastic evening, Datchi the boss and his staff made us feel at home. I totally recommend Colchide (rue des Martyrs like rue des Poissonniers) to anyone who misses Georgia (for those who have been there or lived there) and to those who have never been there before, to arouse their curiosity and their make you want to go there. An excellent evening in perspective, which sometimes ends in an impromptu party... In short, a fantastic address in Paris, just the way we like it!
