Columbus Café & Co Gare Du Nord sur Paris

I've been coming here regularly for over 5 years now, and this place is a real pleasure to share a moment with friends or alone after work while waiting for our train.

Good burrata and beer, fast and friendly service. Toilets a bit dodgy but there was toilet paper at least.

The food and service were all very good. I’m travelling on my own and felt comfortable eating there.

I always presume that a café right next to a main station and will be either expensive or poor value. This place proved me wrong. The staff was so nice and welcoming. I had a coffee and an omelette which was fine nothing sensational but it was a really good stop just to figure out how to navigate paris upon arrival from the Eurostar.

Acceptable, but the chicken needs more meat. The only good thing was the flan.

To be honest, the taste as a whole fell slightly short of my expectations. The candied duck was a little cold inside and difficult to cut, but the crème brûlée was delicious. Regarding the service, the male staff member who seemed to be a leader but wasn't wearing a uniform was very polite and helpful, but I was a little concerned about the service of another staff member. The way they handed over the cutlery and change was somewhat rough, and at times it felt like they were throwing it, which was disappointing. Overall, it gives the impression of being a restaurant geared towards tourists.

Eat the best chicken in the world.

A regular stop for a final glass of champagne (10 euros) before having to leave for England.

The Paris Nord Café, located opposite the Gare du Nord train station in Paris, is an unpretentious establishment offering breakfasts at very reasonable prices. The Petit Déjeuner Parisien, at €8.90, is a generous portion and left us quite satisfied.
