Located just before Sauve, Le Comptoir de l’Evesque welcomes you with a cuisine prepared to order that, unlike the outside heat, seemed to be sprinting at 100 km/h, refuses to be rushed. So we ate inside, with the air conditioning providing some relief, and it was probably the best decision of the day. Beautifully presented dishes, professional service, a relaxed pace: here, they cook for you, not for the clock. It's a place where you eat well, where you can breathe, and where no one serves you food that's been microwaved.

I would like to thank the restaurant "Le Comptoir de l'Evesque" for allowing me to spend a wonderful time with my mother during a Sunday lunch!
Under the summer sun, we enjoyed every dish we ordered, which was served professionally by a kind, long-haired blonde woman. We admired her ability to handle a variety of situations, always with a big smile!

We arrived after 1 p.m.
We received a warm welcome, enjoyed a very good meal in the dining room, and the set menu was excellent.
Special mention for the beer ice cream.
If we're ever back in Sauve, we'll definitely return.

Fantastic atmosphere, dined outside, attentive but somewhat slow service, perhaps due to the full dining room. The dishes were excellent, but the duck was a bit too sweet and difficult to chew. The bread could be improved, the entrees were good.

A truly wonderful discovery! The food, the taste, the service, the welcome, the prices, the presentation of the dishes, the atmosphere—it was all excellent.
However, they should be careful to present the wine bottle properly when serving wine by the glass, and to provide sharp knives for the duck breast.
