Comptoir Saint-Michel sur Nancy

Excellent food, great atmosphere, we were delighted.

My husband and I ate here today to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. The food was excellent, and so was the service. The waitress was very friendly and always made sure we had everything we needed. If we're ever in Nancy again, we'll definitely come back. Thank you so much!

Valentine's Day evening, a mixed experience. The waitresses were lovely, but the kitchen was very noisy (they pretended to vomit and then laughed, for example). If you're hoping for an intimate atmosphere: avoid this place. We initially ordered two set menus: starter, main course, and dessert. The starters were excellent: foie gras and porcini mushroom velouté. The main courses, half a veal with morel sauce, were very disappointing as the sauce had no flavor. Only the mashed potatoes were good. The single dessert, all chocolate in several forms (fondant, mousse, etc.), was original and delicious! However, the other dessert, which was supposed to be a cheese board, was forgotten during service, so we ultimately decided not to order it as it was a timing issue. Fortunately, the restaurant accepts Yums (TheFork) and we were able to get a discount on the bill, which somewhat redeemed the experience. Because paying almost €100 for dishes with so little taste in such a setting would have been all the more disappointing.

A delight, a hidden gem behind a rather unassuming facade. Push open the door and let yourself be swept away by the warm welcome and the generous portions. Delicious, hearty dishes, made with love. Cuisine that awakens your taste buds and your memories, and an efficient, cheerful, attentive, and passionate hostess. It's rare to find the kitchen and dining room so perfectly in sync. You'll leave enchanted, comforted, with the feeling of having found your own Proustian madeleine and the certainty of returning at the slightest opportunity.

A wonderful discovery at Comptoir Saint-Michel! I was blown away by the quality of the duck breast: it was simply exceptional. Add to that impeccable service and a warm atmosphere... This is definitely worth a visit; you'll have a great time!

We were a large group celebrating our daughter's christening. The service was superb, the staff incredibly attentive, the menu delicious (guests could choose their starter, main course, and dessert), and the communication beforehand was excellent for the organization. Just a note: the private room is upstairs, in case there are elderly guests. In our case, the servers were wonderful and even helped us carry the stroller upstairs!

Wonderful restaurant with quality and delicious local food! We enjoyed our meal so much that we had 2 dinners back to back in our short trip to nancy. The waitresses were the sweetest and friendliest! There were daily menus so we got to enjoy different dishes from the talented chef. Foie gras with whiskey was the highlight and absolutely amazing. Thank you so much the lovely evenings of delicious meals and atmosphere!
