Confiserie Lopez sur Royan

It's a shame they removed the Lopez under the arcades; the confectionery shop has absolutely nothing to do with it.

Excellent candy shop. The berlingots are delicious. And the staff is quite friendly. A must-visit when you're in Royan.

I've known this shop for over 40 years, with their iced chocolates, etc. A must-try.

Lopez!!! The best ice cream parlor in ALL of Royan!! We already knew that!!! And their ice cream logs are to die for!! That was a real discovery. We devoured the Sicilian log!

We ordered two Yule logs for four people for Christmas, and what a surprise when we took one of them out of its packaging—it was broken! I checked to make sure I hadn't broken it during transport, but no, the broken piece wasn't even in the box. When we politely pointed it out to the saleswoman today, she didn't believe us until she saw the photo, and the only thing she could say was, "But we check them..." Apparently not that often. I'm not saying mistakes can happen, especially during the Christmas season when there are a lot of orders, but the broken piece not being in the box means it was broken as soon as it was packaged in the kitchen... And to top it all off, in addition to being condescending, the saleswoman didn't even apologize, which, given the price of the log (€21.90 for the four-person version, remember), would be the bare minimum... Lopez is a Royan institution, but it's a shame that some employees don't live up to the brand's standards. the company and this damages its image.

Having seen the report on TF1's midday news earlier this year, and passing through Royan, a stop at the shop was a must. A lovely gourmet shop, with a very friendly young saleswoman. Delicious sweets, nothing to complain about. Thank you.

It's a must-visit during our annual holidays in Royan. Lopez is an institution. The hot lollipops (niniches), ice cream, and ice cream cakes are a treat every time. There's also a shop in Pontaillac.

The best in Royan. Everything is perfect. Of course, working with quality products costs more than mass-produced ice cream for tourists…

Previously won over by the welcome and the sweets, this time the welcome was so-so. We came all the way from Puy-de-Dôme to treat ourselves, and we spent over 60 euros, not even a free candy! Has moving gone to your head? Now you're just a tea room, and the sweets are just an afterthought; they're relegated to the back of the shop. Anyway, it made us want to keep walking. It's such a shame; we were really looking forward to coming. 😔🫤

The niniches are delicious and bursting with flavor. The Valrhona milk chocolate ice cream was excellent, as was the coffee ice cream. However, the cognac and raisin flavor wasn't strong enough. The raisins weren't soaked in cognac enough. The fruit jellies are too sweet and not creamy enough. The waitress could be a bit friendlier. Don't expect much in the way of advice from her.
