The best ice cream of the year!!!!

I was expecting ordinary ice cream, but after tasting it, I completely changed my mind. The flavors are delicious and well-defined.

Hello, The products are of good quality, which is why I'm giving a good rating. However, I'm deducting one star because the waitress who worked on July 26, 2026, in the mid-afternoon could have been a bit more friendly. It's not the first time I've seen her, and on each visit, her welcome has seemed rather cold. A simple smile makes all the difference in a customer-facing role and makes the experience much more pleasant. I hope this comment will be taken as constructive feedback, as the rest of the service was very satisfactory.

What a shame we can no longer enjoy Lopez waffles in Royan. The shop on the seafront was our go-to spot every summer for over 30 years. Now we have to go to Pontaillac, where an endless queue awaits us because the shop is very small and poorly designed for separating customers into different sections: ice cream, waffles, and confectionery. We grew up watching them make niniches (a type of sweet pastry), bois cassé (a type of hard candy), ice cream cones, and countless waffles... which is no longer the case. It's also no longer possible to buy a jar of nougat cream, which we used to bring back with joy from our holidays. We were always well received and don't question the quality of the products or the expertise. But the choice of location and the size of the shop are really important; the number of waffle machines has drastically decreased. Leaving with six waffles requires a considerable detour and seems to take forever. The opportunity to showcase this expertise to customers was a real asset. We were very disappointed compared to our memories of the large shop on the seafront... What a shame.

Very good ice cream, only slight drawback is the limited range of flavor choices.

As a loyal customer, I appreciate the quality of the ice cream, which is very good. Unfortunately, the service and presentation have declined. On several occasions, I've been served cones with broken tips, causing the ice cream to drip everywhere. I politely pointed this out to a cashier on a subsequent visit, but it was completely ignored. Generally speaking, the welcome is icy. Not a smile; you get the feeling you're bothering them, to put it politely. A little consideration for customers would be appreciated.

We went there on the recommendation of Maxime from L’Atelier Glacé in La Rochelle, and we weren't disappointed! The sorbets are a delight! And the service is excellent! If you're a fan of artisanal ice cream and passing through Royan, this is the place to go!

These homemade ice creams were a real treat! Just one star less for the less-than-stellar service.
