Excellent location. The kittens definitely add to the charm. The service was very friendly, although it would have been nice if they had let us know they were about to close when we sat down. Having to rush our beers for fear of holding them up slightly spoiled the experience.

The restaurant is very good, it's worth the money, the waiter is friendly, and the food is delicious! The cats are super cute and cuddly, which is a plus. (The only downside is that the cats are quite obese; admittedly, they're restaurant cats, so it's probably not easy to control what they eat...).

I’ve been coming here for years & we love it. Family owned, great Gallettes & drinks, great prices. Nice patio overlooking Cathedral de Rouen in summer, cosy in winter. My kids especially love all the board & card games available to play while enjoying your lunch or snack.

A quick stop at this bar, very warm welcome, quiet terrace with a beautiful view, the ice cream sundaes were delicious, yum! I highly recommend it 🥰

August 8, 2026 The crepes are good, well-made, and incredibly easy to eat. The shaded terrace is really pleasant, perfect for staying cool without being in direct sunlight. The place does the job, with a relaxed atmosphere; you can have a nice, uncomplicated time.

We ate some fantastic, generously sized galettes. I recommend the American one for those with a big appetite. We received excellent service and helpful advice, and had a lovely time on the terrace with our family, enjoying the superb view of the cathedral.

I discovered this place and I'm so glad I did! The staff is so welcoming, there are three adorable cats, and the place is both cozy and full of memories that take you right back to your childhood! You can play while having a snack, which is fantastic! (Spoiler alert: the Norman crêpe is delicious!) Thank you so much for your warm welcome and kindness.

02/06/2026: I came yesterday (Monday) for a smoothie; it was perfect in this heat! The service, like the smoothie itself, was excellent. They gave me time to choose without any pressure, and there was a wide selection of ingredients (for both milkshakes and smoothies) and products, both hot and cold! It was served quickly in a large glass. I couldn't resist tasting it before taking the picture! Even though there weren't many customers, the atmosphere was still pleasant, and the decor was great. You can sit inside in armchairs or chairs, as well as on high stools, or sit outside or in the vestibule. I came back the next day (Tuesday) to try the crepes and milkshakes. The service was the same, they gave me time to choose, and while it was busier this time, the service was still just as fast! The crepe was delicious and generously smothered in Nutella. The plate was slightly damaged, probably due to wear and tear, which I didn't particularly like, but it didn't stop me from devouring my crepe! The milkshake was good; I had the banana and white chocolate version. Perhaps it was the combination that didn't quite work for me, but I preferred yesterday's smoothie! The music wasn't too loud, but it was perfect for working while enjoying a treat. There was also Wi-Fi available. I'll definitely be back! (Probably tomorrow!) :) I highly recommend it!

20/04/2026: We had an extraordinary time with a team who managed to bring heart and meaning to a situation that could have turned out better despite their efforts. Salia family and Mustafa are exceptionally generous and wonderfully kind. More than just a cooking class, it was a magnificent experience. The tasting was incredibly delicious and excellent! Thank you to this exceptional team, and we recommend La Cantine 2000%!
24/12/2025: I usually help out by taking the time to leave reviews, whether positive or negative, and I'm rarely disappointed 😞 We booked this establishment for a work-related cooking session with colleagues. We were surprised to find there was only one chef for eight people, in a tiny 10m² kitchen where you could barely move around... for a workshop where we were all supposed to be cooking... it wasn't ideal. The hygiene was a bit questionable... and that's putting it mildly. I still want to thank the chef who went out of his way to offer us, with limited resources, a pretty good menu and pleasant service. This didn't stop us from having a good evening. A mixed review, but worth reading to improve the service for future customers.
