We stumbled upon this place during our visit to Rouen and were drawn in by the cats sleeping peacefully in the window, which immediately catch the eye of passersby and tourists. The menu also tempted us to go in for lunch. We ordered a galette (savory buckwheat crepe) with a beer, and it was delicious. The service was very friendly, and the decor is truly original: there are so many references everywhere, you hardly know where to look! It's so vibrant and different from what you usually see! We had a wonderful time; it was a delightful surprise that we highly recommend!

A truly unique restaurant. The atmosphere is very pleasant with references everywhere (geek culture, movies, games, music, sports...). The staff is friendly and helpful, and the food was good. And as a bonus, some cuddles with the cats. Thank you.

My daughter and I love this place. The welcome is always warm and the cats are adorable. And the food is delicious too :-) I highly recommend it 👍

Still as lovely as ever! The drinks are delicious, the decor is superb, and the service is warm and friendly; there's a really great atmosphere. The crepes are good, but they're missing that little something to make them perfect. I recommend this café. Bonus: the cats are adorable and very chill.

Great place. As the name suggests, it's cozy 🥰, a good restaurant with board games upstairs and cuddly cats! The staff are very friendly! We recommend it 😊

20/04/2026: We had an extraordinary time with a team who managed to bring heart and meaning to a situation that could have turned out better despite their efforts. Salia family and Mustafa are exceptionally generous and wonderfully kind. More than just a cooking class, it was a magnificent experience. The tasting was incredibly delicious and excellent! Thank you to this exceptional team, and we recommend La Cantine 2000%!
24/12/2025: I usually help out by taking the time to leave reviews, whether positive or negative, and I'm rarely disappointed 😞 We booked this establishment for a work-related cooking session with colleagues. We were surprised to find there was only one chef for eight people, in a tiny 10m² kitchen where you could barely move around... for a workshop where we were all supposed to be cooking... it wasn't ideal. The hygiene was a bit questionable... and that's putting it mildly. I still want to thank the chef who went out of his way to offer us, with limited resources, a pretty good menu and pleasant service. This didn't stop us from having a good evening. A mixed review, but worth reading to improve the service for future customers.
