Côté Plage sur Courseulles-Sur-Mer

August 2025 We came again this year. Very friendly and welcoming owners. We are happy to come every year, even several times. Always as good. The owners and servers are friendly and cheerful. When we go to Courseilles-sur-Mer, we always go to this restaurant. The staff is very friendly and 😃. We ate. The most beautiful terrace in Courseulles-sur-Mer and the daily special is often top-notch.

I organized my birthday there and everything was perfect!!! I can only thank the managers for everything and warmly recommend this restaurant. The meal was excellent, the service perfect, the decor magnificent. Worthy of a great restaurant with the added warmth and friendliness.

The dining room manager is very welcoming. The service is excellent. And seeing the servers in similar outfits really complements the restaurant. We had a great dinner. And the mini golf course awaits the start of service. To do again on our next visit to Normandy.

Unfortunately, we arrived and immediately left... The young waiter informed us that there was a wait for lunch... even though it was 1:30 p.m. We understood, and we left. We thanked him anyway, because two women walked past us and they preferred to clear the tables where there was no one there rather than give us this information and serve us. It was a bit of a miss, and it's a shame; it will surely be better next time. Good luck to you.

Staying locally, the kids were drawn to the min-golf of course. We booked a table for dinner and played mini-golf first, having the cost of that added to our bill at the end of dinner. The course was good fun for all. Before making the reservation for a table the day before, I had read the previous reviews and admit to being hesitant, so decided to go in in person to make the booking. In doing so, I could see what the diners were eating and get a feel for myself about if it would be appropriate to bring the family. I was impressed with what I saw, on the tables of the diners who were all sitting outside and duly booked a table. Going in to dinner after the golf, we were shown to an exterior table which we were reluctant to take as the wind had gotten up - it was rather blustery and was not going to help us with two kids under 7 years old. We asked to be re-seated inside, but were told that they were not seating inside and were offered a table in a slightly more sheltered position. However before receiving menus, it must have dawned on them that it was indeed quite windy and we were taken inside. Thereafter numerous other families were seated inside. The staff offered us French and English menus and all spoke good English, as they needed in order to help. The meal itself was brought quickly and was delicious. The pizzas and the steak frites that we had....the steak in particular was cooked perfectly, presented beautifully and tasted lovely. The pizzas that the kids had were very generous and arrived in adult size, so they had a lot to eat....as did I as I helped them out after eating mine! Contrary to a previous review, I did not find the pizzas swimming in oil (though the chorizo did leave its tell-tale sign) and I didn't find them too 'thin crust' at all. They appeared hand-stretched and were very nice. The meal was enjoyed by all four of us. If I could respectfully offer some advice for the restaurant going forward, based on my experience, I would say the following - some of which ties in with various other reviews about the customer service and atmosphere that it creates: * When asking the server for the bill (a young man), we encountered a long wait before I managed to find out that I had to go to the bar to pay, rather than receive it at the table. There I also waited a while and felt a little uncomfortable, getting in the way of the servers. The wait would not have been a problem with some acknowledgement that I would be dealt with, by someone, at some point. * It would have been nice to have had some "joie de vivre" or at least a smile from the front-of-house restaurant staff and management. It was noticeable that there were few smiles and a feeling that came across that the customers were, at times, a little bit of an inconvenience. This was noted quite openly by other diners at adjacent tables and even our 3 year old who asked why one of the servers was sad. All in all though, the fundamentals were perfect - a lovely 50cl of Leffe, accompanied by good food in a clean and pleasant restaurant dining room.

Very good address both in terms of cuisine and hospitality. I highly recommend it for families and young children.

What was our surprise when we arrived.. Very well received by the owner of the establishment, very friendly and a restaurant where children are very well received Hearty dishes, we chose roast camembert with bacon and pizzas (which I recommend) The desserts are, like the dishes, well stocked and very good (the floating island and the gourmet coffee are huge!!!!!) Impeccable service I highly recommend....

Très bon accueil , les Patrons très sympas, serviables, le service idem et très agrèable. Une belle terrasse agréable. Je mettrai un bèmol quant aux prix des desserts (tartellette citron meringuée à 9,5€ ) et le 50cl de Leffe à aussi 9,50€. Sinon, les plats étaient bons, la pizza bonne, fish and chips et camembert roti également. Si nous etions de passage, nous y retournerions (Malgrè mes deux petits bémols )
