On a business trip to Clermont-Ferrand, La Parenthèse was one of the only restaurants open in the evening near my hotel. I went without any preconceived notions, and ended up going back the next day. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the wine list is excellent, and the carpaccio is to die for. The food is superb; I highly recommend it!

A small restaurant located on an unpretentious street corner but which serves excellent, simple but refined cuisine. We had 3 menus of the day with salmon as a starter or a plate of cold cuts with ribs in barbecue sauce and fries and a tarte tatin for dessert as well as 2 kirs and 1 coffee for almost €65. Welcoming and smiling waitress. Fast and attentive service. I recommend this place if you are in the area.
