Lunch for the ASM/Aviron Bayonnais match. The food was excellent, the meat was superb and the portions generous, and the dessert was homemade. The welcome was very warm, the waitress was lovely, and they offered us a free coffee – not obligatory, but a nice little touch. We'll be back.

We were in town for a Rugby match and this little gem is tucked away near the Stadium. Excellent food and service. Lovely waitress, great atmosphere and friendly locals who coped with our poor French admirably. We had a delicious meal in good company. Highly recommend this place.

On a business trip to Clermont-Ferrand, La Parenthèse was one of the only restaurants open in the evening near my hotel. I went without any preconceived notions, and ended up going back the next day. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the wine list is excellent, and the carpaccio is to die for. The food is superb; I highly recommend it!
