Crêperie Victor Hugo sur Saintes

A very good crêperie on the way to your holiday destination. The crêpes and galettes are delicious, enhanced with well-chosen ingredients and condiments (pickled red onions, for example) and delightful homemade touches (I highly recommend the lemon curd). The service, both inside and on the terrace, is efficient and very friendly.

A great creperie that also serves delicious cookies. And excellent service. Don't hesitate.

We came for afternoon tea as a family. As usual, a wonderful welcome, smiles, and kindness. All done with great simplicity. The Bounty and Tatin crepes were incredible. I highly recommend it.

We came on Tuesday evening, August 25th, a party of three adults and two children. We had made a reservation and were given a very nice table with a banquette, much to my daughters' delight. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal! The savory buckwheat crepes were generously filled and truly delicious. A minor drawback was the salad, which cost €2.70, and the lack of a set menu or evening option: the bill therefore adds up quite quickly, but that's to be expected. The children's menu, however, is very appealing, including a drink, a savory crepe, and dessert for around €10. There was also a small mistake made with one crepe: instead of chestnut cream, it contained pecans. The waiter noticed it when he brought the plate to us, explained the error, and then took the crepe back. Given the circumstances, I think it would have been a nice gesture to let us keep it, especially since there were five of us at the table. Another small point for improvement: the children's glasses could use some updating. The straw system is very damaged and chewed, which raises concerns about hygiene and cleanliness. Despite these minor inconveniences, we had a great time and would gladly return!

The crepes were generous and excellent, the desserts were just as good and also generous, and the staff were pleasant. I highly recommend this creperie for a delicious meal.
