Croquignole sur Reims

We went there for my partner's birthday on February 11th after receiving glowing recommendations, and I must say we weren't disappointed at all! It's a restaurant you absolutely must experience, especially if you're a tartare aficionado like me. Carole prepares them, like all her dishes, to order. I watched her prepare my tartare by hand in her kitchen from my table. Thank you, Madam, for this wonderful culinary experience that made our birthday evening truly special. See you soon. Simply lovely. Perfect end to our 4 day trip. Crayfish and avocado beautifully balanced, slow cooked veal breaking apart and the best sea bass my wife has had in a long while. And the hosts were delightful. We'll definitely be back.

This was our second visit to Croquignole, the first time being exactly a year prior. Going to Croquignole is like going to Carole's, who truly cares for her customers. She handles everything (yes, both the cooking and the serving) with exceptional attention to detail. We particularly appreciated the simple, beautifully presented, and delicious cuisine, much like the owner herself, who is unique, straightforward in the way we like it, and whose satisfaction comes from seeing us enjoy our meal and leave happy. (It's a welcome change from restaurants where you're asked if you're alright just for the sake of it.) The dining room is small, so it's not too noisy, and it's nicely decorated. Thank you again for these two meals, and I hope for many more! (Note: the budget mentioned in the review was for a three-course dinner (starter, main course, dessert, and one or two alcoholic drinks in total).
