The vegetarian banh mi was delicious and filling, and with a main course, drink, and dessert for €7.50, I think it's pretty unbeatable value. And I don't know if it was because the sunlight filtered strangely into the restaurant, or because a band was playing outside, or because the weather was perfect, but I felt like I'd stepped into a timeless, perfect place.

Summary: Quick, delicious, and inexpensive We discovered this place because we had a meeting nearby and needed a quick bite, and not fast food. We ordered a bam mi sandwich and fried shrimp dumplings, and they were delicious! The fried dumplings were made to order, so they were nice and crispy and hot, and the filling had a really good Asian sauce flavor, and you could taste the shrimp! The sandwich looked simple; we ordered pork and beef, and the meats were tender, juicy, and very tasty, with marinated and roasted vegetables and mint. A good portion, about half a baguette, and we were completely satisfied! It was quick, delicious, and inexpensive: €5.50 for the sandwich and the dumplings. The staff was smiling and friendly. For a place in Paris near the Salpêtrière hospital, I highly recommend it!

Delicious cuisine where everything is homemade, the seasonings are excellent, and the ingredients are fresh. Don't be put off by the slightly off-putting storefront; if you're looking for good food at very reasonable prices, go without hesitation!
