Davisto sur Nice

I cannot speak highly enough of this hidden gem. We happened across this restaurant when my gluten intolerant wife found this on Find Me Gluten Free. The atmosphere was wonderful from the first step in, it followed through to a "you are family" treatment that led to us coming back the next night for our son's birthday. They appreciated our mixed efforts at speaking French but treated us the best anyone did all trip being Americans. The chef takes pride in his work (I saw you watching us enjoy your works Sir and I hope it adequately expressed our joy at them). The food was sensational and the birthday dessert they brought out was beyond delicious. If you are in Nice you must go to this restaurant once. I cannot imagine what the rare bad reviews are about, but they seem impossible based on the experiences we had. Thank you Davisto for feeding our two celiacs and treating us "normals" to amazing meals as well.

Intimate restaurant away from the hustle and bustle of Nice.

A wonderful discovery in Nice. Excellent welcome from the owner and his friendly, smiling team. The restaurant is well laid out and beautifully decorated. A very good meal with delicious flavors. We highly recommend it.

The food was amazing, but nothing could be as good as the service. Waiters would always be around ready to help and checked in on us, but not to the point where it was annoying. One of our steaks was a bit too raw for our liking, so they had no problem cooking it a bit more. There were great Italian options too, such as the spaghetti Bolognese (it may have been a special). All the serving sizes were large, and it was excellent value for money. They even gave you a constant supply of delicious bread. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
