Wonderful iPad tour of the abbey, then a look around an exhibition. Really enjoyed it.

Abbey visited on the occasion of European Heritage Days. Gorgeous ! Its very old but well preserved paintings, its period stained glass windows! What a contrast with the austere monastic rooms... Worth seeing.

Mandatory stop for history lovers, it is probably the most beautiful building I have visited, the wall paintings are magnificent, well preserved. Visiting the abbey is free, you don't have to take a ticket, however if you want an explanatory tablet, definitely go through reception. Also visit the ecclesiastical rooms, where you will find in each of them an explanation about the abbey and Saint Savin. unmissable, magnificent. A must see.

Not worth 10ths. A few paintings classified in the church, that’s all. Don't take the detour on purpose to go there.

Everything has already been said about this abbey, quite simply because it is unique in its kind. Remarkable paintings. You won't regret the detour 😄

The abbey church presents the most beautiful collection of Romanesque paintings in France. A very well designed adjoining interpretive museum. Quality exhibitions. Exceptional in every way! It's a shame that the city is so poorly equipped in terms of hotels and restaurants...
