De la Vigne à l'Olivier sur La Ciotat

Thank you to Jonika & Alexandra for the service! The restaurant is lovely, the welcome is very warm, the menu is high quality, and above all, the food is delicious.

We received a warm welcome, even though the waitress, the only one working there, seemed a little tired. It was very pleasant to eat on the covered terrace, enjoying the outdoors while staying warm. The menu only offered the daily specials, but with a decent selection of starter, main course, and dessert for under €20. The portions were generous and very tasty. The squid was cooked perfectly. 👌🏻 My only slight disappointment was the tiramisu, which wasn't quite finished as the cream hadn't set. I recommend it for the quality and quantity of the dishes at reasonable prices.

A first yesterday at lunchtime, nothing was left to chance. We were seated in a small veranda with blankets provided. The daily menu was a set price of €18.90, with two choices of starter, main course, and dessert. Everything was fresh and homemade.

When I sat down on that sunny terrace, enjoying a burrata and a plate of tagliatelle with pesto, I understood why I had left Paris.

Passing through town on a cold winter evening, we chose to dine at this restaurant. Just reading the menu, you can tell the menu is different from the average Italian restaurant in France: few dishes, and spelling is flawless. I really appreciated the cream soup among the appetizers (quickly chosen, excellent, and carefully presented) and the vegetarian options among the appetizers, first courses, and pinsas. The cooking methods and ingredients are typical of Italian cuisine. The price was very fair for the quality of the food we ate. The interior is intimate, ideal for a couple or a few friends; I didn't see an outdoor seating area, so given the temperature, we chose to dine inside. Afterward, we enjoyed a chat with the kitchen manager. Recommended!

While passing through La Ciotat, my daughter and I had lunch there on a Sunday. Absolutely nothing to complain about, a very warm welcome, excellent food, and extraordinary friendliness!
