EVEN IN TEAR GAS, TOP-NOTCH What can I say? On October 24th, and since birthdays are always celebrated so wonderfully there, I went... You have to be there at 7:00 PM to get a table, as they only reserve for large groups. Everything was peaceful at the door... no long line. As we entered the restaurant, demonstrators came from the old town and down the promenade. Fireworks were thrown... and the police responded with tear gas grenades... which unfortunately also filled the covered and draped terrace with smoke. What happened next was incredibly good: The waiters reacted immediately. They led the guests inside, aired out the place... and immediately distributed water to everyone. The smoke cleared... and drinking water was fine... The restaurant started serving again, and after a while, the whole experience seemed like a bad dream. The way the waitstaff behaved was exemplary. Thank you!!! And thank you for a wonderful evening with birthday cake and sparklers!!! The sky peacefully ended the evening with beautiful light 🌈🌻💚 Five stars!!!

A nice place with excellent food at a relatively inexpensive price, and friendly service staff.

On this very rainy day, we took refuge in this excellent Italian restaurant. I had a delicious and generous pan-fried spaghetti with seafood, while my wife enjoyed a sea bass fillet and vegetable stir-fry, both equally delicious. For dessert, we had sorbets, and my wife had a truly enormous crème brûlée. We will definitely return, and I highly recommend it.

We regularly eat at Di Piu, but yesterday we were unfortunately very disappointed… the banquette seats were extremely dirty with large black food stains! We pointed this out to the waitress, who pretended not to hear! We had to move to avoid eating on the stains! It was very disappointing and doesn't encourage us to return! Please take our feedback into account; it should remain constructive for the restaurant!

We had a lovely meal including pizzas and the fruits de mere. A delicious seafood pasta! One of the best. We unfortunately ate there when there was a protest and as a result got waves of tear gas wafting into the restaurant. The staff disappeared leaving customers coughing and stressed what to do. We asked for some water 3 times before it arrived. Obviously the protests were not the fault of the restaurant but I feel the staff could have helped or handled it better. Customers picking up their plates and running inside with children. Apart from that - food was delicious and atmosphere was otherwise lovely on the sea front.

An amazing restaurant that everyone visiting Nice should try. This was by far my favorite restaurant during my stay. The food, atmosphere, and service were all absolutely outstanding. It offers a fine-dining experience with generous portions and incredibly delicious dishes. Everything was perfect, and I couldn’t recommend this place enough. A must-visit in Nice!

Wonderful romantic dinner on our honeymoon! Don’t sleep on sitting inside even though the patio is enticing. The atmosphere is phenomenal, wonderful friendly service and delicious food! Get dessert!

Stumbled upon this place during our honeymoon and ended up being in our top 3 restaurants after a 2 week trip! Phenomenal beef carpaccio and seafood pasta. As well as the classic ice cream and wine. Service was amazing as well

Food portion is generous but the cooking is quite mediocre. We need to wait for longtime to get served at our table. And all appetizer and pastas got served all at once, which the food get cold very quickly.
