I went here three nights in a row during my stay in Nice, and as a Neapolitan, I have to say the pizza is delicious. The pasta dishes are very generous, and the service is excellent. Highly recommended; it's rare to return to a place more than once while traveling, but I've been here three times.

The food is good, and the portions are generous. However, if you order the same dish multiple times, it's all served on one large plate. It feels like the portions are a bit smaller than when they're served individually.

Good Italian food with huge portions (come hungry!) ​La Villa d’Este is a gem in the heart of Nice’s pedestrian zone. If you decide to dine here, make sure you bring a serious appetite because the portion sizes are massive across the entire menu. ​We tried the calamari, which was flavorful, and cooked to perfection...not rubbery in the slightest. We also tried the seafood spaghetti was packed with a remarkably generous serving of fresh seafood. The meal was delicious, but the portion was so huge that finishing it was a genuine challenge! Thankfully, the service is accommodating, and it’s completely normal here to ask for a doggy bag to take your leftovers home for later. They even give it in a bag with a funny text on it implying the defeat against food. ​To top it off, the desserts are equally gigantic. A single dessert easily feeds two to three people comfortably. The staff is energetic and helpful despite how busy the terrace gets. Excellent value for money given the quantity and quality of the food.
