A wonderful week spent at the estate!
Excellent value for money!
Everyone is incredibly friendly, the food is plentiful and delicious. It's truly authentic!
The rooms are simple but comfortable. Don't expect 4-star service; this is the countryside, and that's exactly what we came for.
We came to the estate as a group; I was disappointed with the meal, which was presented as a spectacular aligot. Okay, I came because I wasn't familiar with this specialty. Served on a plate, what a surprise! The aligot was lukewarm and served with tiny pieces of meat. Our table was forgotten because we were supposed to order their pâté with salad. After pointing this out, we were brought an overly salty pâté, also without salad. The cheese course wasn't too heavy, though. The thin slice of ice cream topped off the meal.
Apart from this disappointing meal, everything else was fine. Of course, it was busy, and I understand the logistics, but they have to take responsibility.
It wasn't perfect, far from it.
The location is magnificent, the museum incredible, and the atmosphere fantastic, thankfully!
