Domaine du Griffier sur Granzay-Gript

The setting in the heart of the countryside, 10 minutes from Niort, is peaceful and relaxing. The restaurant is pleasant and the indoor pool is a nice touch, although a few more sun loungers and a little extra service would be a real plus. The decor in some of the rooms is rather dated and could use a refresh. That said, the staff are always extremely friendly and helpful, finding solutions with a smile.

A truly wonderful experience for our wedding. The venue is magnificent, beautifully maintained, with an elegant yet welcoming atmosphere, perfect for such an important day. The team was attentive, available, and very professional. The menu perfectly met our expectations and was customized to our requests. We highly recommend it!

A very beautiful estate and a magnificent building. However, mixed feelings – a few drawbacks. We arrived and were shown to a superb double room with tasteful decor. Unfortunately, it was infested with a veritable nest of large flies before we arrived. The staff were very responsive (especially Typhaine, who seemed to be everywhere at once) and immediately moved us to a family room, which was less well-maintained, cold, and, to top it all off, I was charged for a family room! NOT COOL!!! I highly recommend the dinner! A very beautiful and comfortable restaurant, and an excellent dinner, well-served with delicate and flavorful cuisine. A big thank you to Typhaine, who is lovely, very attentive, very classy – everything was just right. On the other hand, breakfast was really disappointing! Almost nothing when we arrived, no plates, no ramekins, very few items offered... A lot needs to be improved...

The room was a bit shabby: there was a lot of mold in the bathroom, the toilet was clogged, and only two outlets worked. The wooden window sill over the shower is a terrible idea, and the fully open shower caused water to pool all over the bathroom, creating a slip and fall hazard.

A very pleasant stay at Domaine du Griffier was enjoyed by all members of our friendly group of around thirty people. The establishment is spacious and comfortable, and all the staff, both at the hotel and in the restaurant, are attentive, friendly, welcoming, and efficient. We thank them warmly.
