Domaine du Griffier sur Granzay-Gript

The breakfast is excellent and plentiful, the surroundings are very pleasant. There is an excellent fine dining restaurant with pricing to match, but to be completely honest it is overpriced for what is served. I didn't like · Being charged €10 for a dog (apparently because it's a big dog! I'm going to change my Cane Corso for a chihuahua!!) But I promise you my dog ​​didn't take a shower, didn't use the facility bathroom or toiletries, didn't leave the light on, and didn't leave hair or damage the room.

Brilliant alternative to those cheap hotels by the motorway. The building is very nice, kept a lot of the antiques in the rooms, we stayed in a double superior and it was very nice, clean and spacious. Perfect bed and very comfy for the night. They have a very nice coutyard with tables and chairs, a nice pool and great outdoor areas. They don't mention it on their web but they are pet friendly. One let down was that we arrived at 9pm and despite the very nice lady in reception asking the chef, he refused so ser one more dinner for us.. apparently there were no more tables free. We offered to take the food to our room but he insisted in saying no. To be honest, after a very long drive, a bit more understanding and flexibility would have been very welcome. Clearly they are not used to customers that are travelling and they are more preprared for conventiions. I still think it is a great alternative to most hotels by the road, just recommend you call in advance if you want to have dinner to void dissapointment.

Stopover on the vacation route on August 13... A great experience that we recommend. We appreciated the ease of access, the charm of the facilities, the quality of the food (excellent chef!) and that of the room. Special mention to Tiffen for her professionalism, kindness and attentiveness. To discover...absolutely!

We had already been frequenting the restaurant (which we really liked) for several years and we had our son's wedding at the Domaine du Griffier. Everything was perfect: the setting, the welcome, the reception, the meal,... Our guests and we were completely satisfied. Far beyond our expectations. We highly recommend.

A very nice surprise during a lunch break to go to Angers, we did not regret leaving the motorway because the price was attractive and very fine, the setting was relaxing and the service was impeccable. 5 minutes from the highway!
