Domaine du Moulin Authier sur Coussac-Bonneval

An unusual spot...right next to the fish farm, a mix between a restaurant and a food truck...tables, gazebos, high tables...very friendly welcome, even if the service was a bit overwhelmed (you order here but pick up your food there...). "Your crayfish and fries are ready...uh, yes, but I just came to get my cocktails!" A place to recommend... Beware of mosquitoes!

We celebrated my mother's 90th birthday on July 4, 2026. Everything was perfect; the staff was helpful and attentive. The meal was exactly as we requested. The setting was superb. We had a wonderful day. Thank you again.

I hesitate to give a bad review, as Isabelle is so charming and the place is equally charming, seemingly untouched by time... However, I can't help but point out the exorbitant price for a night in the Moulin gîte (€130 per night in a 5-person dormitory). I hadn't realized when booking that it was a dormitory and thought there would be two separate rooms... luckily there were only two of us, as it was impossible to have a meal in the gîte, which didn't have a table. But as I said, Isabelle is absolutely charming and the setting idyllic.

Family reunion for a birthday. We stayed in the Commandant's House. Absolutely fantastic. High-quality beds, spacious rooms, and very well-equipped. The grounds are a peaceful place. We felt right at home. Very welcoming.

A mixed experience at Moulin d'Authier The setting remains as pleasant as ever, and the owner is simply wonderful: welcoming, dynamic, and very professional! However, we were disappointed by the quality of the service. There seems to be a real recruitment problem with the front-of-house team: one waitress unfortunately lacked professionalism and responsiveness, which somewhat spoiled the overall experience. It's a real shame because the establishment has enormous potential, and the management is doing a fantastic job. Hopefully, the staff will be sorted out so that the service lives up to the rest!

I came for the Sunday evening outdoor dance. A truly lovely evening in a bucolic setting, by the ponds. The open-air dance atmosphere was definitely there: friendly and relaxed, perfect for a pleasant time. The platters showcased local produce, including excellent trout from the mill and a delicious cheese board. Special mention goes to the smoked trout prepared by the owner—a real treat! The service was warm and friendly. A place we will gladly return to.

A very pleasant lunch in a peaceful setting by the ponds. The atmosphere is relaxed and family-friendly, ideal for enjoying a lovely time. The menu is simple yet delicious, perfectly showcasing the farm's own products, including crayfish and trout, iconic products of the region, which deserve special mention. The meat is also of very high quality! The service is warm, friendly, and attentive. A wonderful place that we highly recommend!

We organized a birthday party for about forty people. The welcome exceeded our expectations. Between the aperitif and the generous and delicious meal (the salad from the mill and the marinated pork ribs are highly recommended), and the overall quality of the accommodation for our guests, we had an excellent weekend in this relaxing setting.
