No complaints about the staff, who were very kind and competent. However, the mattresses were too firm, there was no hot water, and it was impossible to charge mobile phones because the power outlets weren't compatible with chargers. Otherwise, the hotel was clean and safe.

Good experience at The Originals City Hotel, Hôtel Éclipse. Put off by some reviews, I went there to attend a concert. Friendly welcome, quick key handover, clean lobby and room. LDC Arena and Groupama Stadium easily accessible by bus 67 (20 meters from the hotel), tram lines T3 and T7 are a 10-15 minute walk away. Admittedly, the location isn't ideal if you want to do sightseeing in Lyon, but it's fine for a stopover. A bonus: the option to check out at 12:00. Convenient after a concert.

The hotel is well-maintained considering the prices. The breakfast portions could be increased to satisfy guests who arrive at 9:00 AM, or staff could be hired to refill the equipment. The rooms were clean. The bathrooms were small. It felt like being in a camper van 🤭 The outdoor parking lot is used for illegal activities, which was disturbing to me… Overall, a mixed experience.

On a business trip... The hotel was top-notch in terms of room and food... But the hotel's biggest strength is its staff, like Sabrine and Lucille, who were exceptionally kind... A huge thank you!!

The staff were very, very good at their jobs, the room was very clean, only there were no power outlets next to the beds and a smell coming from the ventilation system that smelled like sewage.
