Sunday March 3. A spring sun tenderly warms the Normandy countryside around Neauphe-sur-Dives. A reassuring contrast with the deafening festivities of the day before. Our siblings wake up hungry and desperately contact any restaurant, bistro, creperie, pub likely to be able to accommodate around twenty empty stomachs on the road to Paris.
The refusals are incessant and categorical. No establishment seems to be able to accommodate our team.
None, except the Norman Squire. In 30 minutes - tables set, knives sharpened, ovens preheated. Ready to make all our gastronomic dreams come true.
A big thank you for the quality of the dishes served and the responsiveness of your team (who had only slept two hours the day before Editor's note). We'll come back.
