Ed.Em sur Chassagne-Montrachet

Second time i had lunch here, even better than the 1st time. Just a really good reataurant.

The person who served us was in the oven and at the mill but full of good will. Some faults noted at the service level. On the other hand, the plate... I understand why the people of the Michelin guide chose this restaurant. The wine list is also exceptional of course.

It's really good but the service is poor, it's a shame! We ordered at least 6 bottles and the sommelier was not very present and when we said the comment it became very odious what a shame to have a beautiful wine list and delicious food but such nasty and not attentive service not up to the standards of the dishes and wines not normal it's ilvirse than usual, we come from new york not disappointed with the food but the service it will be necessary to add the service it's better to pay for it but that doesn't make it this horrible service experience we tried to speak with him and totally impossible with Mr. Antohony.

MAKE THE 15 MINUTE DRIVE FROM BEAUNE! Set in the quiet, picturesque village of Chassagne-Montrachet amongst the world famous white wine vineyards of Burgundy is this superb restaurant behind a nondescript facade. We were cheerfully greeted by the front of house staff, promptly offered beverages and thus began our wonderful dinner. The dining room is tastefully decorated, being cozy yet sophisticated. There were 3 menus ranging from 3 to 7 courses. I had the 5 course, my husband had 7. We started with the perfectly poached and presented blue lobster, moved on to the best pigeon dish I've ever eaten (not too gamey and definitely not too overcooked). My husband had the veal with calamari and artichokes which could have gone totally wrong in a lot of ways but here was pulled off sublimely. The red mullet was divine! And then-dessertsss! Needless to say, each one was heavenly. It also goes without saying that the wine carte was a piece of oenophilic literature. Many, many pages filled with familiar names (Cotes de Beaune, Givrey Chambertin, Meursault etc) all the way to the tiniest Burgundian plots (Batard Montrachet, Chassagne Montrachet, etc) a lot of which are most likely within walking distance. I'm not a connoisseur but my husband knows his way around a good bottle of wine but we went with the recommendation from the Sommelier. Wow. Did he make the right choice. And I must mention the warm, friendly front of house staff who were prompt, very friendly, efficient and extremely knowledgable. They turned what could have been a very good dinner into something memorable and extremely enjoyable. Thank you to them and the fabulous chefs for your passion. We will be back!

Very nice establishment. Everything was perfect. We were amazed and delighted our taste buds with a multitude of flavors. While enjoying an excellent Chassagne Montrachet 1er cru.
