The flavors are quite tasty, the dishes are filling but not particularly large, the service is good, the prices are good for Paris, the environment is average, no air conditioning on hot summer days, only fans that don't work very effectively. The fries are unfortunately pre-fried.

Restaurant Addis Ethiopia

23/08/2026: We came across this Ethiopian/Eritrean restaurant by chance while walking around Paris and decided to stop for lunch. We ordered Mehaberawi and kitfo, and both dishes were delicious. It had been a long time since I had eaten kitfo, so I especially enjoyed having it again. There was only one person working in the restaurant at the time, but she welcomed us warmly and managed the service surprisingly well on her own. The interior was also nicely decorated with items reflecting Ethiopian culture and traditions, which added to the overall experience. We also had traditional Ethiopian coffee served in a jebena, accompanied with incense (እጣን), which made the experience feel even more authentic. Having visited many Ethiopian restaurants in different countries, we would consider this one of the better places for anyone who wants to try authentic Ethiopian food and experience a little of the culture as well.
08/08/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ — A Trip to Ethiopia Without Leaving Paris Sometimes, one of the biggest obstacles to experiencing something extraordinary is simply the fear of the unknown. We are used to the flavors we already know, the cuisines we know how to order, the dishes we know how to eat… and we end up forgetting that traveling is also about allowing ourselves to discover cultures through food. We had never tried Ethiopian cuisine before, and entering Addis Ethiopia was one of those decisions that transforms a simple dinner into an experience. As soon as you enter, you realize you're not just in another restaurant. The colors, the fabrics, the paintings, the handcrafted objects, the traditional baskets, and every little detail of the decor evoke Ethiopian culture. The atmosphere is cheerful, welcoming, and full of personality. There's a real sense of immersion, as if for a few hours Paris had stayed outside the door. And then the food arrives… Perhaps the best word is surprising. The flavors are exotic for those who have never experienced this cuisine, but at the same time incredibly pleasant. There are mild and delicate dishes coexisting with others that are intense, spicy, and rich. You can taste the spices, but they don't mask the ingredients. On the contrary: there's a very interesting balance between mildness and strength, acidity, aromas, textures, and seasonings. The injera makes the experience even more special. Eating by sharing the large dish, trying a little of each preparation and using your own hands completely changes your relationship with the meal. Suddenly, dinner ceases to be just "eating" and becomes about discovering and sharing. Everything we tasted conveyed freshness and care with the ingredients. Each preparation had its own personality and, when tasted together, formed a wonderful balance. But there's something that no photograph can capture: the way we were received. From the moment we entered, the waitresses and the entire team were extremely friendly, patient, and welcoming. For those experiencing a completely new cuisine, this makes a huge difference. We were treated with genuine kindness, the kind that makes you feel more like a guest discovering a culture than simply a customer in a restaurant. We left Addis Ethiopia with one certainty: we need to be less afraid of what we don't know. Entire flavors, traditions, and cultures await on the other side of our comfort zone. We went in knowing absolutely nothing about Ethiopian cuisine. We left wanting to know much more about it. And perhaps that's one of the greatest compliments one can give a restaurant. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
