15/02/2026: Very friendly welcome.
No waiting.
I had the paella for €23.50, which is a bit pricey! The paella was good but a little dry, and the rice was very stuck to the bottom of the pan.
The prawns were very good.
The patatas bravas weren't the best I've ever had.
Otherwise, a very pleasant experience, very friendly staff.
14/02/2026: A charming establishment not far from the Jacques Bonsergent metro station, perfect for lovers of Spanish cuisine who, like me, take the metro. Opt for the main dining room rather than the small one at the back, which is a bit chilly this time of year. The decor is unpretentious, simple, and welcoming. Without any fuss and with a smile, the waitress showed me to my table. Very friendly, she ensured I had a pleasant dining experience. She shared some of her knowledge of the place, which has managed to maintain its authenticity for 70 years. The recipe for the excellent sangria, sweet and mild just the way I like it, has remained unchanged. There are some wonderful traditions worth preserving! For a starter, a plate of Iberico chorizo whetted my appetite, followed by the delicious paella. The classic version. Don't forget to scrape the bottom of the pan so you don't miss out on the last grains! I'll try the Valencia paella on my next visit. To end this lunch on a high note, a decadent French toast topped with a scoop of ice cream. Thank you, I had a great time. I recommend it.
