A quality steakhouse in the heart of the Chartrons district.
The service was impeccable. A kind, attentive, and smiling waitress.
We were served very quickly.
The meat was perfectly cooked, accompanied by a bowl of fries and salad. Some of our orders even had an excellent sauce on the side.
But to be honest, the prices are still quite inflated, at least for the meat dishes. You're clearly paying for the location, which is on the famous square, but the food itself isn't worth it.
There are plenty of vegetarian options, along with the standard brasserie dishes.

I loved eating at this place!! And I had the best skirt steak ever! Not to mention the potatoes, the vegetables, and of course, the wine!!! (Excellent selection) We had a Chateau La Garde, EXCELLENT!!! I also recommend the alfajores for dessert, mmm!!
As for the service, they were so sweet!! What a wonderful evening I had!

A truly wonderful evening at El Nacional. We were a group of eight and thoroughly enjoyed our meals.
The waiter was incredibly efficient, and we had a great time chatting with him, laughing with every visit.
The meat dishes were all excellent, and the wine pairings were perfect. I ordered the lamb chop with garlic in a pouch, and it was absolutely delicious.
Next time I'm in Bordeaux, even though it's the city with the highest number of restaurants per capita in France, and I love exploring new places, I'll definitely be back.

A truly wonderful experience!
The meat was simply exceptional, perfectly cooked and of rare quality. Special mention goes to the chef, who was present in the dining room, incredibly friendly, and truly attentive: it makes all the difference to have someone who takes the time to chat with the customers.
The wine was also exceptional, with truly insightful recommendations that made the food and wine pairing perfect. You can tell there's real expertise and a genuine desire to do things well.
An establishment we wholeheartedly recommend for the quality of its products and the attention to detail in its service.
