Ellan Vannin Pub Irlandais sur Chartres

The manager is very cool; we had a great chat at the bar, even during our meal. The service was a little slow. We ordered the butcher's cut (an Angus flank steak), and the meat was excellent, served with homemade fries! A very good experience at this pub right next to our hotel. I recommend this place for a drink, and especially for its meat.

Excellent meat 🤩 I recommend it!

A pub with a very Celtic-inspired decor, comfortable seats, and lots of woodwork. A selection of dishes is available à la carte, but there's no wine list. The food is beautifully presented, and the value for money is excellent. The desserts are delicious. However, the welcome was a bit gruff, perhaps because we arrived after 1 p.m. If we were too late, it would have been better to turn us away from the start rather than giving us a hard time throughout the entire service; it's not our style to be a nuisance. We were very disappointed by the response, which somewhat spoiled our day. We had just driven 70 km without finding a single open restaurant, which is why it was so late; it wasn't intentional.

A warm welcome and truly homemade traditional cuisine: tender and flavorful cuts of beef, a sublime chocolate mousse, a decadent coffee with a madeleine, a financier, a light mousse, and a small crème brûlée—not to mention the tuile! Highly addictive, and thank you for this delicious meal. First time, but not the last; I can't wait to explore the pub side of things!

A really, really great place! Excellent amber beer. Decent snacks. Friendly owner! 👍

I really don't understand some of the reviews that describe the owner as cold or unwelcoming. We experienced the complete opposite! He took the time to chat with us, we talked about our travels, and we had a wonderful time. He even shared lots of great tips and valuable advice. It was a lovely encounter that greatly contributed to making our stay even more enjoyable. Thank you for your warm welcome and kindness; we will gladly return!

An exemplary restaurant! I stopped there for the first time during a business trip and ate one of the best ribeye steaks of my life... I went back the next day with a more substantial meal, and it was indeed very high-quality meat, better than some of the fine dining establishments I've been to. 10/5, nothing to complain about, I'll be back! 👌🏅

Stéphane gave us a super welcome, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was great, we spent our Fête de la Musique evening here.

We were just passing through for work and found this place to grab a drink, eat, and watch the match. We had a great meal, France won, and the owner kept his word! A round of drinks for everyone to celebrate the French victory! See you next time. The three guys from Auvergne 😁

I went to eat at this pub tonight and it's still fantastic!!! The Angus flank steak was melt-in-your-mouth tender with perfectly cooked fries, all in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I recommend it 100%!
