A wonderful discovery of the Marais Poitevin. The boat trip is a truly refreshing and peaceful experience, especially with a good guide.

A wonderful day out for two despite a long wait at the restaurant. We booked the "Traditional Day Out" package for two people, which included a 1.5-hour guided boat trip, a meal at the restaurant, and permission to park our campervan directly on site. The welcome we received was excellent. We slept in the campervan very well. The boat trip was truly fantastic: we had an exceptional guide just for the two of us. He was discreet and not too talkative, respecting the peace and quiet of this magnificent natural environment. A wonderful memory! As for the restaurant, the welcome was also very pleasant, and the menu was delicious and plentiful. The only slight drawback was the disorganized service. We arrived at 12:45 pm, our starter was served at 1:20 pm, the main course at 2:30 pm, and dessert another 30 minutes later. Admittedly, the restaurant was hosting a tour bus and a group of about 20 people that day, but since these tables were reserved, it shouldn't have disrupted the pace of our meal to such an extent. In short, excellent overall service and a very welcoming atmosphere, but the kitchen/dining room service organization needs improvement during peak periods.

An extraordinary walk! A very warm welcome in a bucolic setting, complete with squirrels!! And a very good price (group tour €13/adult). We enjoyed a one-hour walk with our guide, Hervé, a veritable encyclopedia of knowledge about the marsh and its history – fascinating for nature lovers. A superb heritage site that you absolutely must discover.

We took advantage of our vacation to visit the Marais Poitevin by boat. Our guide was excellent and explained everything about life in the marshes. He was very friendly. And I recommend it to anyone who has never done it before.
