First time we went to this estaminet, and, as it was the last day of opening before the holidays, the room located inside was in the process of closing.
Ultimately, the weather was nice and we really enjoyed the terrace, it is covered, shaded by 2 trees and very pleasant.
The premises are those of an old school, the decoration, paintings, books and old class photos add charm to the establishment. Everything is very clean. Dishes well prepared and presented, good quantity and quality.
Prices are around a range of 19 to 23 euros per dish.
Beers around 5 euros.
Friendly staff, warm welcome!

Always a pleasure to come to this wonderful estaminet. Even after 10 years of loyalty...! Excellent dish, perfect service and attentive servers. The menu is still very well thought out. Fresh products and plates prepared with heart. Charming atmosphere, both inside and in the schoolyard! Thank you ! 🫶🏼

A restaurant that we are happy to return to after passing there around twenty years ago when it was created.
New retired resident in Pévèle we had a very good time in this atypical place of the old PHALEMPIN school.
Very good cuisine from Estaminets du Nord in a very friendly atmosphere.
Worth the detour if you pass through PHALEMPIN.

Restaurant located in the heart of the town of Phalempin in the old school of the town. The theme is widely respected for the decoration with the added bonus of the donkey cap for the dunces.
Very good, varied and quality cuisine. Traditional dishes from the region from starter to dessert. Good choice of draft beer too.
I enjoyed myself and I will definitely come back..

Endroit original, personnel sympathique, souriant et efficace, très bonne cuisine ( les carbonnades notamment!), délicate attention lors des anniversaires...

Tout était parfait! Un délice pour les papilles!!! Recommandations spéciales pour les œufs cocottes au Maroilles et escargots qui étaient exquis. Merci infiniment à toute l’équipe de l’estaminet L’école pour ce moment délicieux!
