05/02/2026: Le Café des Artistes is an excellent bistro-style restaurant with a very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. The cuisine is creative, refined, yet down-to-earth. The dishes are perfectly balanced in flavor, beautifully presented, and prepared with high-quality, fresh ingredients.
The service is attentive, friendly, and professional without being intrusive. The ambiance is stylish and cozy—ideal for a relaxed lunch or dinner. The value for money is also very fair for the quality offered.
Highly recommended for anyone who wants to enjoy modern French cuisine in a charming, artistic setting.
26/01/2026: In short: a very disappointing experience.
The menu descriptions don't list all the ingredients, so there were a few surprises when the food arrived.
The velouté arrived barely lukewarm, with an added layer of rather bitter herb oil that ruined the flavor.
The chuck roast was tasteless, tender but bland, and the vegetables were undercooked, far too crunchy.
The fish, on the other hand, was excellent. I would have chosen a slightly less sweet variety of sweet potato to better balance the dish.
As for the dessert, it was a disaster. The profiteroles were made from three mini cream puffs, with a base of pastry cream that was inevitably frozen solid, topped with a ridiculously small scoop of ice cream that had melted. In short, the dessert was sent back.
The service was slow and disorganized, though friendly.
The only real positive point was the wine selection.
A huge disappointment, especially considering the bill.
