Delicious canelés! I recommend trying them. I don't usually like canelés, but these are excellent in terms of taste and texture.

A historic macaron shop in Saint-Émilion with a tradition said to date back around 400 years. Unlike the colorful filled macarons most people know today, which are Parisian-style macarons, these are made in a much older and simpler style. Since the price difference between package sizes is relatively small and these particular macarons are difficult to find elsewhere, buying a larger box may be worthwhile. They keep reasonably well when refrigerated, but they are best enjoyed soon after purchase, while the outside is still slightly crisp and the inside remains soft and moist.

The macarons are good, but the canelés... Oh my god, they're amazing! We bought some and then went back and bought another dozen! You absolutely have to try them, 110% recommended.

This macaron shop has a great reputation and is a true institution in the world of macarons. For our wedding, we used their services to provide macarons for our guests. We weren't disappointed. As an added bonus, we got a tour of their workshop. Of course, there's one drawback: the price. But as they say, "when you love something, you don't count the cost." One thing to do is visit the shop and, while you're there, take the time to explore Saint-Émilion.

Continuing the tradition of the nuns, this recipe, passed down through generations, is, in my opinion, the best shop in Saint-Émilion. Their almond macarons are delicious and creamy. The small shop is inviting, though the interior is rather cramped. Enjoy them with pleasure and without moderation.

Excellent macarons made with the old recipe

A small shop brimming with sweet little temptations. If you're in the area, you simply have to pop in and see what catches your eye. We regret not trying the macarons. The canelés, however, are exactly to our taste.
