I recently had the pleasure of visiting Ferdi in Paris, and even though the night threw a small curveball, it still ended up being one of those memorable dining experiences that reminds you why certain places earn their reputation. Let’s get the only “negative” out of the way first by the time we ordered, they had completely run out of burgers. At a spot that’s famously associated with its burgers, that could have been a dealbreaker. But honestly? It wasn’t. That alone says a lot about the strength of the place. The atmosphere at Ferdi is effortlessly cool: dim lighting, cozy tables, buzzing conversations, and that unmistakable Parisian-meets-New-York energy. It feels intimate without being cramped, lively without being overwhelming. Even before the food arrived, the vibe alone made it clear why people love coming here. What truly elevated the evening, though, was the service especially from Emily, who was absolutely phenomenal. From the moment we sat down at the bar, she was warm, attentive, and genuinely engaging. She handled the burger disappointment with grace and humor, immediately offering thoughtful recommendations and making us feel like we were in expert hands. Her drink suggestions were spot-on, balanced perfectly, and crafted with obvious care. It’s rare to find a bartender who enhances the entire experience the way she did. As for the food we did have everything was delicious. The menu still had plenty to offer beyond the burgers, and each dish felt intentional and full of flavor. It didn’t feel like a backup plan; it felt like we were discovering another side of Ferdi that stands just as strong on its own. The quality, presentation, and taste all lived up to the hype. What really sealed the deal was how the staff handled the situation overall. Running out of a signature item can easily derail a night, but here it was managed with professionalism, charm, and confidence. Instead of feeling disappointed, we felt taken care of and that’s what great hospitality is all about. So yes, they ran out of burgers. And yes, I’m still giving five stars without hesitation. Between the unbeatable atmosphere, excellent food, and standout service (especially from Emily), Ferdi proved that a great restaurant is about far more than just one item on the menu. I’d go back in a heartbeat—and next time, burger or not, I know it’ll be worth it.

Loved it. Beautiful small place in the middle of paris. Outstanding dishes: the burgers and truffle mac n’ cheese which is a celebrity favorite and rightly so. Book in advance!

I really enjoyed their guacamole with nachos—it was fantastic! The peppers with cheese were also a hit. However, I wasn’t a fan of their Caesar salad. The burger, though, is a must-try; it was delicious. I’d prefer to have less sauce that comes on the side.

The place is very cramped, like a corridor, but it was a nice experience. The burgers, mac and cheese, and guacamole were good.

One of the best burgers I had. The burgers are a bit small so I ate 2 😅. It gets crowded very easy so reserve table in advance. The comunication goes through whatsapp and it is very easy to book a table so you don’t have to wait. It is perfect for dinner for two since the place is small. I think that this will be my go to place for burgers for the next time I visit Paris.

I actually really enjoyed this place. Even though it was very hard to get a table, I recommend calling in advance! The food, the service, and the décor were top-notch. I can’t wait to visit again.

You can't try the burgers if you arrive after 9 o'clock... that's strange.

The only bad thing is the waiting time in the line to get a table

23/12/2025: The Best Christmas Market in Paris If You Enjoy Being Ripped Off Five stars for execution. Not for value. This place is a masterclass in Christmas-market economics: free entry, stunning Instagram reels, real ice rink, influencers calling it “the best Christmas market in Paris”… and then the bill quietly appears when you’re already emotionally committed. The ice rink looks magical. Real ice, good size, not overcrowded. Credit where it’s due. But pricing is only revealed at the very front of the queue on a tiny sign: €10 per person. No child price. No family rate. At that point, you’re standing there with two seven-year-olds giving you those eyes. Walking away would cause an international incident. Congratulations—you’re now hostage to the Christmas spirit. Skates? Some of the worst I’ve ever worn. Rusty, uncomfortable, and no size swaps available because apparently no one anticipated that children might attend a Christmas ice rink. Want one of those penguin aids so kids don’t immediately lose confidence? That’ll be another €2. So you’re €12 deep per child before anyone’s even had fun. The ice itself is fine. The staff are polite. But the overall feeling is grimly transactional. Extra points deducted for families and grandparents: No heating. No hot drinks. No warm seating. The heated covered area only opens in the evening—clearly when the paying adult crowd arrives. Daytime families? Left to freeze. Result: kids who don’t want to leave, a grandmother turning into a human ice cube, and parents wondering how they managed to spend so much money so quickly while feeling so little joy. Would I recommend it? Yes—if you’re curious to see how a Christmas market can perfectly separate families from their money while smiling the entire time. Five stars. Flawless rip-off.
11/11/2025: A very nice place to party or spend an evening with friends in Paris.
