We discovered the address in the tourist office brochure, which advertised a set menu for €24! Imagine our surprise when we paid €70 for lunch for two, including a charcuterie and cheese platter priced at €20 and a 50cl bottle of wine at €18! Even though the charcuterie and cheese were good, the prices are outrageous considering the lack of preparation! Only the name sounds appealing; the rest seems like a tourist trap. €35 for an average bill is ridiculous; they need to get real!
The welcome is simple, direct, and unpretentious, but the place is well worth the detour.
The shared gîte is nestled in a wild and peaceful spot... The setting is magical for lovers of unspoiled nature. The dormitory is efficient and comfortable.
Apparently, you can come just to eat at the Auberge. Or rent the entire gîte for a few nights.
We only spent one night and enjoyed delicious homemade jams in the morning.
Our bikes were safely stored.
It was very restorative and relaxing, far from everything... A lovely memory... A thought for Jean-Claude from the Creuse region, a wonderful encounter, just the kind we like!
A wonderful bed and breakfast: clean, comfortable, authentic meals made with farm-fresh produce, exceptional hospitality—you feel right at home. The owner speaks passionately about her work as a sheep farmer (they have 1,000 ewes!). A word of caution: the wolf is a sensitive topic. Reasonable price. We highly recommend it.

20/08/2024: Une belle ferme sur le causse,avec de très bons produits,le restaurant est un endroit bien agréable et on y mange très bien,du fait maison.
01/08/2024: Fidèle client, nous constatons une dégradation des différentes prestations. L’ entrée est chiche. Charcuterie insuffisante et salade trop abondante. L’aligot est servi froid. Il n’y a plus le plateau de fromages servi parfois à volonté. Le dessert est décevant. La part de tarte est chiche comme le café gourmand avec une crêpe……Cerise sur le gâteau, dans un verre, sur chaque table, moutarde et ketchups en sachet comme chez Macdo.
Ce n’est plus ce que nous avion connu.
